iCloud file locations

Peter Anderson 6 years ago in General updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 6 years ago 1

The file location panel in Textastic shows:

Local Files

iCloud

External files and folders

Open file or folder

The iCloud entry points to a “Textastic” folder in the “Files” app.

Is it possible to change this location? I would like to use a folder called “DEV”.

Regards,

Peter

Indentation marks for soft tabs

HobbyCode 6 years ago in General updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 6 years ago 1

I like that when you use tabs, you can see arrows to align your code. Is it possible to add a marker, different than the tab marker, but something to indicate indentation when using soft tabs?

Is there a way to tie autocomplete, capitalisation, and so on to file kind?

Adam Iredale 6 years ago in General 0

For Wiki.js, I’d like to use Textastic to replace full-featured Markdown editors for iOS. The main reason is that it is the only editor on iOS that I know of that works directly with Working Copy Git folders. For code editing, auto completion and such features would be a nightmare, but for Markdown, they would be a benefit. Hence the question - does this capability yet exist?

Textastic folder does not sync in Windows 10

Adrian 6 years ago in General updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 6 years ago 3

I had no trouble reading from and saving to the Textastic folder (in iCloud) on my old Windows 10 laptop. But the same is not true for my new ThinkPad 580. Note - it has the latest updates to Windows 10 while my old laptop is a couple of updates behind.

In my new ThinkPad, the Textastic folder shows only one of several child folders, and inside that lone folder, shows no files at all. There are in fact nearly a hundred files, mainly html. It has been several weeks now, and there has been no improvement.

What could be causing this? Is there a fix?

Files iOS app drag and drop not possible

Pabloc 6 years ago in General 0

Files app on ios: I have grey out little icon on top of the file that I want to drag and drop in the Textastic folder in iCloud (no issue for other folders in iCloud). Anyone having the same issue? I tried on iPad and iPhone. However when I go to the iCloud folder on my Mac, I don't have any issues.

Change Third party providers display name within Textastic

Bill Raynor 6 years ago in General updated 6 years ago 2

When I add third-party providers BELOW the Open.. file, They all get the same name, “Documents”, and the same sub-title “External: Storage Provider”.   It would be nice to be able to customize the displayed name rather than guessing by position.

Verbindung über Lokal/Netzwerk

tobias baur 6 years ago in General updated 6 years ago 3

Hallo Herr Blach!

Create new file from Files dialog

dame wang 7 years ago in General updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 7 years ago 3

I keep my files in Working Copy and open them in Textastic using the Files dialog. However, the file must be created first in Working Copy.

I’d like to see the ability to create the new file directly from Textastic. IA Writer has this implemented. When it opens up the Files dialog, there is a “+” before the “Select” in the header, and you can create a new file in Working Copy without having to to into Working Copy at all. It would save the extra step of opening Working Copy to create an empty file.
