I absolutely love this app!  And would gladly rate it at 5 stars EXCEPT that it would be awesome if SFTP actually worked for me.  It does not, so as a result I had to get FTP On the Go Pro to transfer and edit remote files.  I would so love to have a full featured and functional FTP client built in, as it almost is...  For whatever reason, several FTP client apps fail for the servers at my school, and FTP On the Go is the only app I've found that works seemlessly.

Opening 800kb json file crashes app

Binary Transfer Mode for FTP

Other FTP clients I have used have allowed me to specify binary transfer mode for subsequent transfers (as opposed to ASCII transfer mode).  How do I do this in Textastic for iOS on iPads?

Hide additional keys when keyboard attached

This is a repeat of an issue reported fixed two years ago. Apparently, it's back. I just attached my Logitech Ultrathin keyboard, and I see the row of extra keys on the screen at the bottom. Unfortunately, this moves from being an annoyance to a bigger issue, if I display the navigation wheel and try to move the cursor with it. The reason is that there's no way to access the "down arrow" from the navigation wheel. An alternative way to handle this would be to allow the nav wheel to be moved around the screen (and away from the row of keys).

How to set completion file

 I got a open source code "simongregory / actionscript3-tmbundle" from web.
And then I located it, syntax hilighting works well.
Next, I modified AS3 Completions.tmPreferences to Json file and located on #Textastic/CodeCompletion, but it could't work.
Please tell me how to set it, or some  important points.

Hey :) 

I have a Problem, i try to connect to my FTP-Server(HDD at my Router). I insert all, relevant data, with username and password etc. but the connection to the server coudn't be established. 

the username and password is from selfhost or the user on my router??

Can't download files per ftp/webDAV

Hi, 

just added a ftp and a webDAV connection. I can see/access the files and filestructure, however, it is not possible to download files. The "download option" is grayed.

pls help...
