Bug: File doesn't close when you delete the folder it is in.

Nic 12 years ago in iPad updated by Andrew Pearce 9 years ago 2

I I file is open and you delete the folder that it is in (local folder) the file doesn't close. It stays open. Think it should close like it does when I file is deleted.

If you then use the option in the upper right corner to upload the file it blanks out the file on the server then gives you an error. Luckily for me I had a back up. :^ )

Bug report: cursor position is wrong when using bluetooth keyboard

Kenta Kubo 10 years ago in iPad updated by anonymous 10 years ago 6
First, I switched an input method from Japanese to English(US), and moved a cursor.
After that, the first character that I typed was inserted in the position that I switched an input method in.
Later characters were inserted in correct positions.

Thank you for reading my poor English.

Error: Transferred a partial file

Aleksander Lanes 9 years ago in iPad updated by It’s Me 2 months ago 13
I am getting an error when uploading files when using FTPS.

Errors occured
Error uploading "myfilename": Transferred a partial file

On the server the file is replaced with an empty file (if I enable "keep partial uploads" on the server)

I am running the 5.1.1 version on an iPad with iOS 8.1.1. I had exactly the same issue when running iOS7.

Hardware keyboard consistently crashes Textastic on iOS7

Aleksander Lanes 10 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 10 years ago 0
Since iOS7 the app will crash if I attempt to show the soft keyboard when a hardware keyboard is attached. I need to show the soft keyboard and "split" it before hiding it again to show the additional rows of keys.

This is happening 100% of the time on a Logitech BT keyboard.
Answer
Yes, this is a bug that is caused by a change in how iOS 7 handles external keyboards. It will be fixed in the next update.

Connecting to MAMP?

studio-1 11 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 11 years ago 4

Loving Textastic – absolutely brilliant. I've coded a small website on a local MAMP server on my Mac tower (10.7). I would now like to edit these files using   Textastic on my iPad. Is this possible? I can't seem to get a server connection to the MAMP, but then I don't have a lot of experience with MAMP. I am able to preview the site on the iPad browser though so I know MAMP is working fine.

Disable using gesture to zoom in/out

Yuhao Zhang (Zzyzxd) 9 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 9 years ago 1
Hi,

I am very new to Textastic. I love it that it makes coding a lot easier on the go. However I really need to find a way to disable the zoom in/out feature.

In general, on my iPad I use four/five fingers spread/pinch gestures to switch between apps. I will always need to check webpages and documents while coding. So every time I switch to another app from Textastic, the gesture first enlarge the code field, and then activate the app switcher. And when I got back to Testastic, I need to adjust the text size first before continuing coding.

This is very annoy since I will never need to enlarge the text. Is it possible to add an option to disable this feature?

Another little advice is, could you make the PDF viewer remember the last location and jump to the location when reopen the file?

Thank you very much.

is there a way to refresh all files in a directory?

Joseph Heck 12 years ago in iPad updated by Eric Mehl 11 years ago 2

I've linked a directory to one stored in dropbox - primarily for code reading when I'm offline. Is there an easy way to refresh all of the files in a directory from the latest in dropbox?

When I move .gif into a new folder, it suddenly has a white background.

Michael Walters 11 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 11 years ago 1

Greetings,

I have been learning to code on my iPad using Treehouse's app, along with textastic. When I downloaded the project files from TeamTreehouse.com and unzipped them into textastic, the .gif files on the site look fine. However, when I copy the images into a different folder, the parts that are supposed to be transparent are suddenly white. When I try to import .gifs from my iPad's photo albums, the same thing happens.

This happens both when I look at the individual .gif files and when I view the site that I have coded. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

On an iPad running IOS 9, Textastic freezes at startup and doesn't allow opening any file.
