Is the a way to copy a Find result to the iOS clipboard? Want to quickly clip out a segment of HTML code and paste it into a WordPress blog post. The code segment will always match the following regex string:
<p id="intro(.*\n)*<p id="closing.*\n.*p>
The Find result highlights the text I want to copy to the clipboard. Is there a way to get Textastic to copy the highlighted text to the clipboard?
I don't see a way to do so. Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks & Enjoy life,
Why are no options "Links to Remote Connections" visable for a file I download from Dropbox to my iPad?
I installed Dropbox on my iPad3 and linked it to Textastic.
I was able to successfully view and edit the document in Textastic.
The File Properties > Links to Remote Connections shows:
Not Linked, but there are no options to select.
Hi, I just wanna say that this app is awesome! I've just got into coding and the ease of writing CSS and HTML is amazing, but I was wondering, if I can somehow one day learn to code in say, C++, is there a way for me to view the programme in the app itself, or do I need to switch to a desk top? (I don't actually have a desktop, so it could be problematic:( ) but still, amazing app!
I tend to use my iPad more to consume content than to produce it. So, my main use case for buying Textastic was as a slick tool for reviewing code -- either as part of a formal code review or to gain an understanding of some third party component. In both of these cases, it would be nice to be able to annotate the code with my comments as I review.
I click on a line number and a dialog pops up to input a comment. Once I made a comment, there would be some sort of visual indicator telling me that there was a comment at that spot. Finally, when I was done my review session, I'd be able to collect my comments in some form. This could be as simple as creating a text file FileUnderReview.rb.comments with entries like:
Line 34: Some insightful comment.
(Or it could use a standardized file format instead if there is anything out there)
Having major issue trying to link my Dropbox account to Textastic even though I have a Dropbox app on my ipad.
waited 15 minutes on 3 separate attempts to link my dropbox account with the app.... NO SUCCESS! This needs to be faster. I still haven't successfully linked my account.
I am not able to connect to any of my FTP servers using FTPS (port 21 on one server and 990 on the second one).
For both connections I get "Transfer Error: SSL connect error".
In the log I can see:
== Info: SSL connect error
== Info: About to connect() to ftp.hereisdomain.com port 990 (#0)
== Info: Trying HERE-IS-IP...
== Info: connected
== Info: Connected to ftp.hereisdomain.com (HERE-IS-IP) port 990 (#0)
== Info: SSLv3, TLS handshake, Client hello (1):

0100: ....................................". .........................
== Info: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol
== Info: Closing connection #0

Can you please give me some hints?
PS: Thanks for the app. I am really excited about the capabilities of Textastic for iPad, the additional row is great and I wish to have it in other applications too :-).
