Ftp transfert error - "weird server reply" when download from server

srk974 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 14 years ago 6
Hello,
I got a synology server and when I try to download files from the ftp server I got a error message "weird server reply" and no files downloaded in the app.
I should try many times to get the files.
I think I got this messages when I download more than one file.
Can you do something for me please?
Best regards,

Gesture cursor movement

György Mérei 13 years ago in General updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 4
It would be very useful if we can move the cursor with gestures in the text area. Now the whole text area is scrolling, but it would be enough if only the right side trigger the scrolling and the remaining area can be used for moving the cursor in 4 directions.
Maybe a "to top", "to bottom" feature can be helpful too to work with long texts.

CDN Support

It would be nice to have CDN support, so when I am using the CDN for bootstrap, jQuery, etc the content would display properly in preview mode.

Processing support

I know that drives textastic far, far away from being a code/text editor,

but it'd be nice to see some sort of processing integration. (http://processing.org/)

It'd be cool to code and run processing stuff on the iPad. I dont know how this would work with apples restrictions on what can be run on the iPad, but maybe it would have a chance since it's javascript-ish.

Integrating mySQL/DB autocomplete/suggest support

Billy Griffiths 13 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 1

I've recently discovered Textastic for coding on to go. Something I would like to see (as a PHP purist) in future releases are database table autocompletes. As a developer working on various projects at the same time, I often get confused as to which table belongs to which project.

If I had the ability to specify a remote DB connection and have table names autocompleted (a local cached list might be a good idea) when writing SQL queries, that would really boost my productivity as I would no longer need to hop between apps.

Macro definition

Graeme Ambler 12 years ago in General updated by Luke Mason 10 years ago 3

Just started using textastic and it really is a great app, with well thought out and beautifully implemented features.  The one thing it is missing which makes it unsuitable for anything other than small projects or minor edits is the inability to define and then use macros by recording a sequence of keystrokes/searches/etc and then allowing these to be repeated by selecting the macro.  Even the ability to define a single macro quickly in this way can help speed things up, and the ability to save a few can transform the editing experience.

Margin settings

Gary Bloom 12 years ago in iPad 0

Margin settings would make Textastic for IPad into an excellent general purpose editor. Currently, the text lines are too long for ease of editing an essay. My hack is to set Inconsolita for 30 pt, and zoom in to get margins and readable  text. Also, margins leave space to leave the navigation wheel up.

Let us see and work with hidden files such as htaccess files

As a web programmer, hidden files get used a lot and I would love to work with them in the same place as the rest of my files.
