could you add vrml97 syntax highlighting?  i found a vrml97 syntax file for vim, if that would help:

Hardware keyboard consistently crashes Textastic on iOS7

Aleksander Lanes 11 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 11 years ago 0
Since iOS7 the app will crash if I attempt to show the soft keyboard when a hardware keyboard is attached. I need to show the soft keyboard and "split" it before hiding it again to show the additional rows of keys.

This is happening 100% of the time on a Logitech BT keyboard.
Answer
Yes, this is a bug that is caused by a change in how iOS 7 handles external keyboards. It will be fixed in the next update.

I've sold my iPad2 6 months ago, and now I've got a 3rd gen iPad. It was amazing to see the improvements in Textastic when I'm installed, and tried it since I last used it.

Thank you, and keep up the hard work :)

Connecting to MAMP?

studio-1 12 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 12 years ago 4

Loving Textastic – absolutely brilliant. I've coded a small website on a local MAMP server on my Mac tower (10.7). I would now like to edit these files using   Textastic on my iPad. Is this possible? I can't seem to get a server connection to the MAMP, but then I don't have a lot of experience with MAMP. I am able to preview the site on the iPad browser though so I know MAMP is working fine.

App tries to go online without permission from user

Chris Walters 13 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 4
Textastic tries to establish a connection with the Internet each time I first launch it, even though I don't have any servers set up in the app and have given it no instruction to go online.

Is the app dialing back to home, so to speak, to report data about my usage or device specs to you? Or is this a quirk/bug? If I put the iPad in airplane mode or at least disable Wi-Fi, the app stops trying to go online.

Disable using gesture to zoom in/out

Yuhao Zhang (Zzyzxd) 10 years ago in iPad updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 10 years ago 1
Hi,

I am very new to Textastic. I love it that it makes coding a lot easier on the go. However I really need to find a way to disable the zoom in/out feature.

In general, on my iPad I use four/five fingers spread/pinch gestures to switch between apps. I will always need to check webpages and documents while coding. So every time I switch to another app from Textastic, the gesture first enlarge the code field, and then activate the app switcher. And when I got back to Testastic, I need to adjust the text size first before continuing coding.

This is very annoy since I will never need to enlarge the text. Is it possible to add an option to disable this feature?

Another little advice is, could you make the PDF viewer remember the last location and jump to the location when reopen the file?

Thank you very much.

Soft-wrap bug puts spaces at start of line

Rachel Greenham 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 14 years ago 3
With a file containing blocks of prose text, as opposed to code, sometimes the soft-wrapping causes a space to be shown at the start of a line mid-paragraph; this happens when the text on the previous line exactly occupies the configured line width; ie: if the line width is 80, and the previous displayed line in a paragraph has exactly 80 chars, the space separating it from the text of the next line is itself wrapped to that next line. What should happen is that the last space on a line should be 'allowed' to break the line width restriction so the next word starts as expected at the start of the next display line.
