Symlink support

Sonarpulse 13 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 3
I created a symlink to a folder in Texastic's Documents folder, but the folder didn't show up in the application. I can't see why it should treat symlinks any differently from real folders. This would make sharing files with other applications much easier. Thanks
Answer
Added in Textastic 4.0.

Can we have tabs?

Cristiano Martins 13 years ago updated by Grégory Prince 13 years ago 3
It would be much easier to go through the most used files... The current way is really not the most effective. That's what is bothering me the most. I do really like the app though, nice job.

Processing support

Florian Voigt 14 years ago updated by Hans Gerwitz 13 years ago 1
I know that drives textastic far, far away from being a code/text editor,

but it'd be nice to see some sort of processing integration. (http://processing.org/)

It'd be cool to code and run processing stuff on the iPad. I dont know how this would work with apples restrictions on what can be run on the iPad, but maybe it would have a chance since it's javascript-ish.

Let us see and work with hidden files such as htaccess files

As a web programmer, hidden files get used a lot and I would love to work with them in the same place as the rest of my files.

I have local filesharing set up so that my macs can transfer files between each other, it would be nice to simply connect to them with Textastic :)

implement zeroconf (automatic host discovery) so I don't have to type in tedious IPs

dan mackinlay 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 14 years ago 0
I'd really love for local network file transfer not to have to involve me typing IPs, especially since I tend to move around networks a lot, and can give my phone and laptop static addreses in very few of them. Some of my iOs apps (e.g. touchosc) implement zeroconf so that rather than typing in some tedious IPs that soon change anyway, you can simply select the available hosts from a drop down list. that would be awesome for Textastic
