Button for PASTE

Myako Toudai 13 years ago updated by Todd Buller 4 months ago 1
Hello, it's me again ^^

I saw it recently that is very hard to select and paste code at a given position. E.g. I select and cut some parts of my code making some new lines at an another position of the code, then I need to tap the same position again to popup the paste overlay panel. Cool would be to have paste / copy / cut button in the cursor wheel panel :)

Anyone else who feel the same?

Word & Line Selection Accrual

philmaker 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 14 years ago 0
Robust text selection behavior is a hallmark of the Mac experience. A user should be able to double-click a word or token, hold, and then drag to select additional words or tokens. Triple click a line/paragraph, hold, and then drag to select additional lines. I think I noticed that Pages on the iPad offers this behavior. This feature is very, very important o me in Textastic.

A bit slow with big files

rhet 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 2
When I open a php file with more than 2,000 of lines the text highlighting is abit slow and there's a delay when typing codes. Is it a bug or something like that? Thanks

Would like to have a flexible width/height preview window.

This is a great app!!!.  One addition that would be very useful: resizable preview window so that I can test flexible width/height formats.

IT would be great ir the App could natively encrypt and work with encrypted files.

I would really like this feature as it would make the app very efficient and would likely attract quite a few users

Support Google Appengine integration

Santiago Lema 14 years ago 0
Google Appengine has nice features::

- a python command line allows you to retrieve the code, you don't even need a Dropbox copy
- another command line allows you to publish

You can post test versions on the site and compilation/ testing can be done in a web view.

Does Apple allow bundling a full python run time? That would make all that possible (including python validation on local iPad)

Swipe Selection

Hi,

If I'm allowed to share an idea again to improve textastic, then I have maybe a very good one. the cursor wheel is very nice, but for the most situations to slow and complicated. Furthermore, it steals a lot of space on the canvas. Can you maybe implement the cursor swipe selection idea? I saw it already in codes and it is very nice and useful, specially for a text editing app like textastic.

Here is an example : http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6h2yrBK7MAY

But overall again thanks for textastic ( we can't say enough thanks for this great peace of software. It is very useful for me )
