From which file provider did you pick the folders? In the next version of Textastic it will show the name of the iCloud Drive container if the folder is picked from iCloud Drive. Also, iCloud Drive external folders will be fully support.

The Citrix X1 certainly sounds interesting and I could get it for a reasonable price at Amazon in Germany. 

What would you like to use the mouse for? Should Textastic show a cursor and synthesize touch events on mouse button presses? Do you have any particular use cases in mind? (e.g. text selection)

from the error message it sounds like you cannot use unencrypted FTP, but need to use FTPS or FTPES.

The server administrator or hosting provider should know more.

You're right, Cmd-E should also show the search field.

Did you also press Cmd-F to show the search field?

You can use Edit -> Find -> Use Selection for Find (Cmd-E) to use the selected text for search.
