I've never seen this error before and do not have it on my device, sorry. Did you try to reboot the iPad and see if that helps?
In the meantime, you can use an alternative web browser app. I believe iCab Mobile can show you the source code of a website and allows you to copy it it. There are probably other apps as well.
An alternative bundle for Windows cmd and bat files can be found at https://github.com/adamv/windowscmd-tmbundle
You install the following TextMate bundle to add batch file support:
http://code.google.com/p/ebundles/source/browse/trunk/Bundles/MSDOS+batch+file.tmbundle
This is explained in the manual at http://www.textasticapp.com/v3/manual/lessons/How_can_I_add_my_own_syntax_definitions_and_themes.html
Textastic 3.0 doesn't include a syntax definition for R and it's also not in the manual anymore.
But, you can install your own syntax definitions. This is explained in the manual at http://www.textasticapp.com/v3/manual/lessons/How_can_I_add_my_own_syntax_definitions_and_themes.html
A TextMate bundle for R can be downloaded at https://github.com/textmate/r.tmbundle
Why do you want to dismiss it? Just leave it open. It takes away some screen real estate but you can move it where you want it.
But, of course I'll think about your idea.
