You can easily create a folder called "templates" yourself and put all your template files in there. If you want to create a new file from a template, just switch to the template folder and copy the file. Copying files is described in the manual at http://www.textasticapp.com/manual/lessons/How_can_I_move__copy_and_rename_files_and_folders.html
Thanks, I've just added them. Will be included in the next version.
Just go to Texatastic's settings screen and change the "Wrap Column" setting to a higher value (depending on the chosen font and font size).
Currently, the file is always saved before doing certain actions like switching to the remote connection screen or uploading the current file.

When a file is deleted it is closed and then deleted – doesn't make much sense to save it when it is deleted anyway :)

I plan to implement a close button in a popover that appears when tapping on the file name as suggested here: http://feedback.textasticapp.com/feedback/23302-tabs-for-open-files-show-list-of-recently-opened-files-when-tapping-on-the-file-name/
Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
I've just updated the list. Thanks!
Ok, I just re-read your idea and I have to apologize: your suggestion was actually very similar to what I posted above. I must have misunderstood your post the first time.

So, yes, your idea is definitely a good one!
Oh, and of course a bluetooth keyboard or a keyboard dock are great ways to circumvent this problem :)
