Image tag insert

Brian Byrd 13 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 0
Fiirst of all, I want to say how much I love Textastic! I'm using it to do Web page editing on the road.

It would be very useful, when tapping and holding on an image file in the local file list while editing a document, when the pop up menu appears, if there would be an option along the lines of "Insert IMG tag".

What this command would do, at the current cursor position in the document, is insert an HTML IMG tag, with the SRC attribute set to the file name, and the actual height and width dimensions of the image inserted into the HEIGHT and WIDTH attributes. I could edit the SRC attribute manually to adjust it to the correct path, but at least the correct file name would already be there.

On the iPad, it is a pain to try to figure out the dimensions of an image. If Textastic could display that info for an image, and even insert that info into a document, as described above, that would be fantastic!

This new feature would make adding images to my Web pages so much quicker, easier, and accurate. As a developer myself, I don't imagine it would be very difficult to add to your app.

Thank you for the awesome app, and thank you for considering my request.

Bitmap font support

Jan Rychter 13 years ago 0
Is there any chance Textastic could support bitmap fonts, Proggy Clean in particular?

Inconsolata is great, but the amount of information one can fit on a screen is much larger when a custom-designed bitmap font is used. I use Proggy Clean all the time and rarely want to go back to fuzzy outlines of antialiased fonts when programming.

I don't know if this is even possible with iOS, but I thought I'd ask.

Crash bug from autotext

Noel Rappin 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 14 years ago 1
I have an intermittent crash issue that appears to be triggered by a mistyping. It's hard to say exactly but it seems to happen in part of the process of an autosuggest popup
Answer
This should be fixed in Textastic 2.1

Global Syntax Definition for Unsupported Extenisions

Studded 14 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 14 years ago 0
Would love to be able to define the syntax for unsupported filetypes.. my PHP projects have .inc files and stuff, and I can manually change each syntax definition for each file, but I would love to globally change the definition of a certain filetype in the system settings.

Realbasic Syntax Support

Add Realbasic syntax support. (www.realsoftware.com) Since real basic code usually comes in project file, perhaps .rbo (Realbasic object files) could be the supported file type.

Tabify & Untabify

Nevets 13 years ago 0
When a block of text has been selected and the user presses the TAB key, all the lines in the selected text block will be prefixed with a tab character. When the Shift + TAB key is pressed the first tab character of each line in the selected text block should be removed.
