Yes, that's true. Licensing is a big problem here. I can't include GPLed code.

I use Subversion for my own projects, so that's also the version control system I know best.

This is fixed in the next update.

In the next version, Textastic registers all supported file extensions in the system.

This way, the open in menu should show up on all supported files.
