Did not know that trick. Thank you.
Hi Alexander. Textastic is my most used app on my iPhone. I use it constantly every single day. This bug is very frustrating, because it costs me a lot of time, and I look like an idiot scrolling for 10 seconds each time I want to jot down a quick new entry at the end of the document. Anything I can do to help you narrow down and crush this bug?
I was wrong about "Auto Word Wrap". Textastic frequently forgets my place in the file, whether the feature is on or off.
Good to know, but that just means it's forgetting the cursor position then, because I make edits to the bottom of the file, and then it forgets. Incidentally, it seems to be fixed if I disable the "Auto Word Wrap" feature.
I use the app daily. "Auto Word Wrap" was never removed. I simply turned it off in the settings, like Alexander suggested. But this is not a fix. It's a workaround. A fix would be appreciated.
I came here to report the same issue. It's really frustrating. Currently, if viewing the end of a 6000 line file, rotating the device to landscape, and then back again, causes the app to automatically scroll to line 3000. It even happens sometimes when returning to the app, no rotation required. Disabling "Auto Word Wrap" as per Alexander's suggestion does indeed resolve the issue, but now we've lost "Auto Word Wrap". Can't this be fixed properly? Why would a fix be incompatible with the "Auto Word Wrap" feature?
Yes, it would. My hope is that whatever files I was recently working on, would be a mere single tap away, should the app be relaunched due to memory purge.
