Yes, I fully agree. I am doing the same in the context of home automation with homeassistant with iPad and sometimes MaOS. I am not a developer therefore visual code is too complicated for my purpose. The HA internal file editor is ugly and difficult to use with touch operation.
That would be even worth for me to buy a full pro license for iPadOS and MacOS.😊
