100kb above perl file hangs or crash

Jasonsskl 13 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 12 years ago 5
I love this , just got yesterday, but it keeps hanging when i open a perl file above 100kb, my os is 4.3.3. But it works fine when i open it in preview mode, when parsing is needed, it will just hang. Please take a look at it, Thanks
Is there any chance you can send me the problematic file by email?
okay, what your email or, where i send them to? I prefer not to upload them to any public file hosting site even though i will be removing all the sensitive information/parts in the file (of course, i will make sure it still crash my ipad with modified version, so you get to use it for debugging)
You can send the file to support@textasticapp.com
I am also getting into this issue.

I’m tying to open a perl script (but it’s 36kB) and every time Textastic crashes after a second.

I can barely see the syntax being colored for an instant and then I’m back on Springboard.

The offending file is “Markdown.pl” from this zip archive: http://daringfireball.net/projects/downloads/Markdown_1.0.1.zip

Sequence of operations I’ve done:

- from Safari go on http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/

- click on the previous link and download the zip file

- chose to open with Textastic

- within Textastic extract the archive and touch Markdown.pl

Tested on iPad2,2, iOS 5.1.1, and current release of Textastic (theme Eiffel).

If you need more informations or the crash logs just ask, thank you.
