Reproducible beachball/crash whle editing

Rui Carmo 9 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 9 years ago 3
I'm getting repeated crashes when editing a Markdown file. If I have an existing fenced code block and try to add a comment (prefixed by "#"), Textastic beachballs instantly and I have to kill it.
```
# Crashes as soon as I type the "# <letter>"
```
I'm running the latest App Store version (Version 3.1 (28)) in Yosemite.

Which syntax definition do you use? I can't reproduce it with either the Markdown or the MultiMarkdown syntax definition.

Also, this syntax is a feature of GitHub flavored Markdown only: https://help.github.com/articles/github-flavored-markdown/
Well, I recorded a little screen capture for you:

https://meocloud.pt/link/dbb21271-6dec-4d13-bb1b-74a3c43c1de5/crash_on_insert_in_middle.mov/ (link will last for 90 days)

(this is a fairly feeble Mac and I have a VM going in the back, but you can see the app beach balling in Activity Monitor even if Quicktime Player doesn't update the cursor)
Thanks, I can reproduce it now. It only happens after the italic line that starts with "> /etc/apt…". I'll try to fix it.
