Snippet Library

Hi guys.  Great app.  How about adding a snippet library, though?  I think it's all that's missing for me to purchase & use.

This will be possible in the next version with support for TextExpander touch.

Hrmm, I just discovered "Snipplr" at http://snipplr.com/

Could be cool to add support for their "social code snippets". They have snippets for all sorts of languages.
Thank you, Alexander!

I see that your ideas are more sophisticated than just code snippets. I'll see what I can do!
I have purchased the app today and also got the textexpander in the hope of gettting some siimlar results of the Textmate. What I was hoping to achieve was to get the snippet that has a fill-in functionality (that is the term they used in textexpander for Mac), But it doesn't seem like the textexpander touch has that feature. It would be just PERFECT if Textastic can incorporate the fill-in snippet feature of the textmate!

Thank you for a great app!

Do you mean snippets like I use in the new code completion features for HTML and CSS? They have placeholders that you can tab through. It's demonstrated in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMOaHybJ7ZY&hd=1
Yes! This was exactly what I was talking about. Does Textastic have a similar support for Multimarkdown (or markdown), LaTex, and Fortran (this may not apply to many, but it is widely popular in scientific research field)?

If not, would they be considered to be incorporated in the future update?

Thank you so much for your prompt reply and I have to tell you again that I love your app! It is very good, but it would make it just so perfect if there is a code completion feature for those languages I mentioned.

Thank you again!

You can create your own code completion, send it to Alex and he might publish it for everyone in the next update.
Not yet. I have released the JSON files for customizing templates and code completion at https://github.com/blach/Textastic-Customization/

I welcome any contributions!

Have you tried TextExpander? I know it's only a temp solution, but support is built in.

iOS 5 will support something like textExpander for free right in iOS.
You can define your own words and use them in any app.
