App is crashing every few minutes

Althea Jones 13 years ago updated by Alexander Blach (Developer) 13 years ago 8
App is crashing every few minutes, most often when deleting several lines of text by holding down the delete key but also happened when I was simply scrolliing down the code page. I've tried rebootting the ipad but no difference. Had been working fine until recently (I have not updated to the retina-display version, so I'm using the one before that). I've really come to rely on this app for my paying job., so I sincerely hope you can fix this!

I think I found the bug - it was in the code that caches highlighted lines and only occured in files with more than 500 lines.

It will be fixed in the next update.
PS - apologies for all the typos - going a little too fast I guess
What kind of file are you editing when this happens?
Also, it would be nice if you could send me the crash reports. See http://feedback.textasticapp.com/topic/48133-how-do-i-send-crash-reports/
I tried to reproduce the crash by very very fast scrolling in large files.
The app finally crashed, just by scrolling, but without creating a crashlog :(
I assume it's a low memory situation on my iPad (1. Gen)
Thanks very much Alexander and Fexxel for your comments--I really appreciate the prompt response. The file is a .asp page, 50Kb, 1110 lines, nothing fancy. I was definitely moving fast as I had a deadline today (made it!) so maybe I just overwhelmed the poor thing. I'm using a 64GB iPad 2 with a Bluetooth keyboard. My experience was like Fexxel's, with crashes but no crash report. Besides not liking to scroll really fast, it didn't like deleting multiple lines a character at a time by holding down the delete key. I was also using multitasking quite a bit though I couldn't tell if that was a factor. So can anything be done to help Textastic keep up with speedy fingers? Thanks again for your help, and for a great product.
Hrmm, it's weird that you don't get crash reports.

Textastic 4.0.2 is now available on the App Store. I've fixed a few minor issues. Please try it out - maybe if fixes the problem.
OK, it crashed agaiin, and this time I was going nice and slow, no fast scrolling or deleting, just doing some light copying and pasting between applications (Safari and Textastic) using multitaskingg (double clicks of the Home button on the iPad). I will try again to find a crash report. I have both a MacBook Pro and an HP running Windows XP, and frankly I'm not sure which system would have it but I'll check both. I did update to version 4.0.2 of Textastic as you suggested, so that's what I was using when this happened today.
The crash reports get downloaded by iTunes when you connect the iPad to your computer via USB. It should be on the computer that you sync your device with.
