Duplicated Note & Crashing

James Booth 11 years ago updated by Jerry Stratton 10 years ago 5

I duplicated a text file, but the duplicate cannot be saved or closed. If I try to close it, textastic crashes. It is "unsaved", yet I can't get rid of it. It opens every time I open the program and crashes the program if I try to close it. I've tried deleting and re-installing textastic but it somehow remembers the unsaved document even though I restart my computer as well. Any suggestions?

Solved my issue. I didn't realize that textastic was saving "unsaved" documents in the iCloud. I deleted the iCloud documents and it worked.

Do you have any idea why this happened? Can you reproduce the problem? The crash reports should be in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ - can you send them to me?

Mac OS X saves the application state in the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.textasticapp.textastic-mac/Data/Library/Saved Application State/com.textasticapp.textastic-mac.savedState

Deleting that folder would probably have fixed the issue.

Hey, Alexander. Have you solved this issue yet? I have it happening to me, now, but it's mostly annoying (as long as I remember not to close the undead unsaved document). I can send you the Diagnostics if you still need them.

Please send me the diagnostic reports, that would be very helpful. You can send it to support@textasticapp.com
