Unable to request SFTP subsystem

Hi, i'm trying to connect via sftp and it's not working.
The password authetification get completeted and then I get thie message :
Failure initializing sftp session: Unable to request SFTP subsystem

I don't have any problem with filezilla on this server, the key is automaticaly imported. Is there a known problem ? and if I should use a key how do I generate it ? (my server is on latest Ubuntu)

It sounds like your SSH server doesn't have SFTP enabled. You can probably find out more by having a look at the server configuration file or at the server log file.
