Universal app?

before Textastic 6, which was released in March 2016, there were separate apps for iPad and iPhone. Textastic 6 is a universal app that can be used on both iPad and iPhone. I assume you have a version of Textastic before v6.

Textastic 6 is the first paid upgrade since version 1.0 was released in 2010. 

Implementing split view multitasking, making the app universal and supporting iPad Pro required a rewrite of large parts of the app. Charging for Textastic 6 allows me to continue to dedicate resources to improving it.

Among other features, Textastic 6.1 added Google Drive remote connections. Textastic 6.2 added new fonts and the ability to open Git repositories from Working Copy as external folders. Emmet support and a JavaScript console was added in Textastic 6.3.

Yeah, I was thinking that I purchased it but I could totally be wrong as I purchased the Mac version not that long ago so I could be confused with that. Thanks for your quick response . 

While I have you on here I was looking in the forum and may have found my answer but it was from awhile back. You answered a question about iCloud support saying "the web view cannot access other referenced files like images or CSS files in the same folder." has this feature been add or am I doing something wrong? able to do this Mac to Mac but Mac to iPad downstairs seem to work.

I'm having a similar issue. But instead of you I just bought Textastic a couple of days ago. As a matter of fact, I’ve bought the two versions. But it still appears as if I didn’t buy the app on my iPhone.

Hello, there is only one version of Textastic for iOS available for purchase on the App Store at the moment: Textastic 6. This is a universal app that works on both iPad and iPhone.

Please have a look at the Purchased section on the App Store to redownload the app on your iPhone. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201272 for details.

Thanks for the prompt answer. What I meant is tha I used to have the old version, and than I bought again the new version, but still then if I search for the app on my iPhone it is displayed as not bought. It also doesn’t appear on my bought apps list on my iPhone even though it does show in my iPad. Maybe because I hit update instead of buyin straight from the App Store?

What do you see when you search for "Textastic" in your Purchased section on the App Store?

1. Open the App Store app, then tap Today at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap  or your photo in the upper-right hand corner, then tap Purchased.
3. Search for "Textastic"

You should see two entries for Textastic if you have purchased the old version and the new version with your account.

That’s right. It shows. As an additional info, my receipt number for 6 is 

127197276681

And on your iPhone? You should see it in the same list there and be able to download it.

It wasn’t showing. But it did manage to resolve the issue anyway. I simply bought it again, and received a notification instants after saying that it would not be charged since it was purchased before. Go figure. Misterious.
