JavaScript based extensions

Another feature I'd love to see is JavaScript based extensions similar to what iCab does on the iPad.

It would allow automatic manipulation of the files store in Textastic, to say, external processing on websites or uploading it to build services.
this would be cool, but apple doesn't "like" this.

as this is no longer the case for tools that are considered for development (for example there are now editors designed to hook system apis now to extend shortcuts using JS, and things like expo also in JS). Might this request be reconsidered?
